CERF+ Executive Director, Cornelia Carey, received the Margaret L. (Peggy) Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy at the Vermont Arts Council‘s 2017 Governor’s Arts Awards during a celebration at the Highland Center for the Arts in Greensboro, Vermont on October 24. Carey was joined by illustrator David Macaulay, writer Chris Bohjalian, arts educator Taryn Noelle, and folklorist Gregory Sharrow in receiving recognition for contributions to the arts in Vermont. Carey dedicated her award to all artists, promising to use it to further CERF+’s advocacy work in support of their careers.
