2021 Tornadoes in the South and Midwest

Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Illinois, Missouri, and Mississippi were struck by dozens of tornadoes — including one massive storm that tore through more than 200 miles — Friday evening and Saturday morning. The unusual outbreak was created, in part, by unseasonably warm temperatures. With recovery efforts underway, the exact death toll will become clearer, but the full extent of the damage will take time to assess.

CERF+ is monitoring the situation and is prepared to respond to any requests for emergency financial assistance from eligible artists who work in craft disciplines. If you are an artist or artisan impacted by the earthquakes, please visit our recovery resources and submit an inquiry for our emergency relief program. We are here for you and can help guide you through the application process.

This is a particularly stressful situation for all residents affected by these tornadoes. We encourage anyone personally affected to call the Disaster Distress Helpline at 1-800-985-5990 or text “TalkWithUs” to 66746.
