CERF+ Toasts Long Time Supporters During NCECA

The CERF+ Board hosted an evening reception during the recent National Council for Education in the Ceramic Arts conference in Pittsburgh, PA. CERF+ Board Chair, Eddie Bernard, gave a warm welcome to those gathered, noting CERF+’s mission to create a safety net for artists with the support and involvement of makers, donors, businesses, organizations and others.  During the gathering, Eddie along with fellow Board member, Paul Sacaridiz and CERF+ Executive Director, Cornelia Carey made special toasts to four long-time friends of CERF+ in the ceramic community — Jim Skutt of Skutt Kilns for donating close to $50,000 worth of ceramic kilns and other supplies to CERF+’s emergency relief beneficiaries over the years; Josh Green and NCECA for their longtime partnership and support of CERF+’s mission; and ceramic artists Jan Schachter and Lana Wilson for their many years of Board service and their ongoing generosity and volunteerism.
