What steps do you need to take to ensure the preservation of your artistic legacy? If your kids don’t want “your stuff,” what are your options? The City of Tempe Arts & Culture partnered with CERF+ to host a workshop on October 30 featuring a information-sharing and myth-busting panel discussion that drew on multiple perspectives about the process of legacy and estate planning. The workshop included presentations, panel discussions and Q&A with: Casey Summar, an attorney and national arts consultant; Peter Held, a Phoenix-based art appraiser/artist estate manager; John A. Armstrong, a senior artist and co-owner of Armstrong-Prior, a fine arts consulting firm; and Jean Reed Roberts, a retired estate planning lawyer now managing the artistic legacies of her late father and late husband. Meg Ostrum, CERF+ Director of Special Projects, moderated the session.
