ACGA

In July, the Association of Clay and Glass Artists of California (ACGA) raised $1,648 at their annual Palo Alto Clay and Glass Festival. “We’ve had a CERF+ booth from our very first year in 1992 and ever since,” explains Jan Schachter, who along with ceramic artist, James Aarons, coordinates the annual event. The ACGA is a 300+ member organization focused on providing channels for clay and glass artists from across California to show and sell their work.

I’m still sifting through ashes, so your generosity is a welcome ray of light.

Funds raised by ACGA members support CERF+ California Fund.  Since 1990, the fund has helped provide $151,680 in grants to 66 California artists working in craft disciplines. “This spirit of artists helping artists is the embodiment of our mutual aid philosophy and founding,” explains CERF+ executive director, Cornelia Carey. “This support is especially meaningful right now  as we continue to respond to artists affected by wildfires in California.” To learn more about restricted funds at CERF+, contact us.
